Pregnancy is a beautiful process, but it can be a painful one.  In just nine months, a single cell develops into a fully functioning human!  It is a miracle of rapid growth and change, but the baby isn’t the only one undergoing change. As an expecting mother’s body transforms, her tissues work hard to support her baby. This increased stress on her muscles and joints can lead to discomfort and eventually pain.

After pregnancy, the body must learn how to support itself again and it must adapt to additional stresses like carrying a diaper bag, a car seat and of course a newborn.  If a new mother does not retrain her muscles to carry these new loads and if her spine and pelvis are not guided back to a more neutral posture, these imbalances can lead to weakness and pain.
